Nesir: Journal of Literary Studies is a biannual, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal publishing original research articles and book reviews in literary studies in Turkish and English.
The journal provides an international forum for scholarship in literary theory, literary historiography, and comparative and transnational literary studies. It particularly encourages historically and theoretically informed research on diverse literary traditions, including Turkish literature, while also critically examining the conceptual frameworks through which literature is interpreted and understood.

Publication Schedule
Nesir: Journal of Literary Studies is published twice a year, in April and October. The submission period for the April issue runs from 15 December to 1 February; for the October issue, from 15 June to 1 August.

CfP: Literature and the Body: The Relations Between Being and Writing
Nesir’s October 2026 issue (No. 11), devoted to the theme “Literature and the Body,” welcomes research articles and book reviews in Turkish or English. Submissions should be made through the journal’s online system between June 15 and August 1, 2026.

Nesir welcomes critical book reviews focusing on academic works in literary theory and literary history. Reviews should go beyond summary and provide theoretical insight and critical evaluation.
